This Sci-fi movie takes place in the future on one of Jupiter's moons, Io, on which is located a mining colony administered by a man named Sheppard (Peter Boyle). Marshall W. T. O’Neil (Sean Connery) has been assigned to this mining colony and begins to investigate the cause of several miners’ deaths. His investigation reveals the deaths appear to be caused by an illegal drug that is being used by the miners to help them work longer. With no help from his fellow officers, O’Neil has to become a one man force as he is pursued by paid assassins while trying to bring the dealers to justice.
