Based on the classic tale, Beowulf takes a party of warriors across the ocean to ultimately deal with a creature who has ravaged a village in manners most bloody. Unlike the book, Grendel is not a blood-soaked, flesh-bloated blob of a monster but more of a troll... not much more than a buffed-up human with an extended forehead. Still, Beowulf must rid the countryside of him while dealing with stories passed on of himself which make him also out be larger than he really feels he is in real life.
