A mysterious infection of some sort has attacked many of the people on earth. It leaves them acting like zombies but they also desire human blood and they are not able to be in the sunlight. Captain Tao (Steven Seagal) leads hunters to find and destroy the infected ones. The final battle is fought over a hospital. There are innocent civilians trapped inside. They are about to give up all hope of ever being rescued. The military has become ineffective against the infected ones. It is now up to Captain Tao and his small band of hunters to save the hospital before it becomes another home of the infected.
