Inspired by Robert Ludlum's novel of the same name, The Bourne Identity starts with a young man (Matt Damon) being picked up by a fishing boat. He's been shot and is suffering from amnesia. Slowly he tries to piece together his identity. Starting with the mysterious Swiss bank account number stored in a laser device found embedded in his hip by the surgeon who operated on his bullet wounds. The Bourne Supremacy picks up where the Bourne Identity leaves off. Bourne (Matt Damon) is still trying to untangle his identity and after his lover is killed he must unravel the mystery surrounding himself.
