In the second 007 movie, James Bond (Sean Connery) must slip into Istanbul to acquire a Russian Lektor decoding machine being offered by defector Tatiana Romanova (Daniela Bianchi). But Bond is unaware that this is a trap, set up by SPECTRE agents Rosa Klebb (Lotte Lenya) and Kronsteen (Vladek Sheybal) to capture the Lektor for themselves and revenge for Bond's interference in past actions. Helping Bond is Turkish spymaster Ali Kerim Bey (Pedro Armendariz), and following him in an attempt to kill him is SPECTRE agent Donovan 'Red' Grant (Robert Shaw).
