A poor old soldier thinks he may strike it rich when a major military leader falls into his hands in feudal times in China. Big Soldier (Jackie Chan) believes his prisoner Little Soldier (Lee-Horn Wang) will command a great profit when he takes him to his enemies for a mercenary reward. The Big Soldier hopes the ransom for the enemy general will let him retire in peace. However, the spoils of war are not so easily taken by force through a country with anarchy and brigands at every corner. What the general knows is that his capture was a set-up, and his own traitorous soldiers are after him to make sure he is dead.
